Yuletide: Taskforce moves to dislodge Agege Shanties

As part of the strategies to prevent crime and ensure sanity in the area, the Lagos State Taskforce on Environment and Special Offence Unit has issued a 7-day ultimatum to the owners and occupants of illegal shanties at Agege to leave or face the wrath of the law.

The Taskforce Chairman, CSP Shola Jejeloye, who gave the order, said that the presence of the shanties on the axis constitute security threat to the residents and commuters, adding that intelligence report from the area indicated that criminal elements could be using the place as hideouts.
