Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf has enjoined Muslims to abide by the tenets of Islam with regards to Ramadan by inculcating personal discipline and empathy for the indigent as habits.

She said: “This Holy month of Ramadan teaches us to practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity.
‘’However, these things should not be practiced only during Ramadan, rather, we should inculcate them as habits for our own good and for the sake of humanity.
‘’May Almighty Allah accept our duas and efforts as an act of Ibadah,’’ she added.
