Lagos gives cars, others to most outstanding public servants

. ..Sanwo-Olu to host awardees

For  demonstrating uncommon commitment to the public service delivery, the Lagos State government has presented brand new cars and other valuable gifts to public servants who emerged the most outstanding workers amongst its workforce.
New Telegraph gathered that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will also host all the awardees who were honoured for exceptional service delivery. This, it was gathered was part of the moves to boost the morale of workers and to encourage other to be diligent at work.


Speaking at the colourful grand finale of 2021 Public Service Week which had in attendance, all the heads of agencies in the state,  the State Head of Service,  Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, urged awardees at the  not to rest on their oars but  should redouble their efforts through improved service delivery.
The Head of Service said that the state bwould continue to reward excellence and public servants, who demonstrated uncommon passion and commitment in the delivery services in line with the 21century service delivery and in conformity with the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda.


Congratulating the awardees, Okunola also encouraged them to continue to exhibit the high sense of responsibility, diligence, commitments to duty and unalloyed loyalty for which they were being honoured. He assured that their efforts won’t go unnoticed.
He added: “As I congratulate all awardees, I urge you not to rest on your oars but rather encourage you to continue to exhibit the high sense of responsibility, diligence, commitments to duty and unalloyed loyalty for which you will be honoured today. O urge you all to redouble your efforts through improved service delivery in the coming years. In the same vein, it is my hope that this event would serve to motivate other members of staff to continue to put in their  best in their various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs in the knowledge and assurance that their  contributions will neither go unrecognized nor go unrewarded, someday. “


The Head of Service restated commitment of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to workers welfare enjoining public servants to remain focus and steadfast in the discharge of their duties to ensure continuity of good governance, growth and development for the actualisation of  greater Lagos dream”.
The 2021 Public Service Week held at and De Blue Roof, Agindingbi, also
featured long Service Merit Awards, talent competition in two categories MDAs and individuals, which included Eating competition, comedy, Gele Tying/Make up, Adire Day, other forms of entertainments, other activities while winners were given various gifts prizes ranging from fans, Air condition, two cars among others.


At the end of the competition, Public Service Office, Office of the Head of Service came First Position and won the Star Prize of the SUV, donated by the Coscharis Motors, while Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs went home with the Second Star Prize of Saloon Car, donated by the GAC Group.
