Danbatta, others for International Regulator’s Forum


The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communication Commission,NCC, Professor, Professor Umaru Garba Danbatta and other industry leaders are expected to deliver keynote address at the International Regulator’s Forum & Annual Conference hosted by Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA).

TheStory gathered that conference which is part of the International Institute of Communications (IIC’s) annual Communications Policy and Regulation Week will be done virtually on October 4th-7th, 2021.Attendants include; Independent telecommunications regulatory authority and her peers from Africa.Keynote sessions will focus on how the telco, media and tech(TMT) sectors have pivoted over the last 18 months, what form their transition is taking, and what they hope for from regulators and policy makers to enable positive outcomes for all.

Professo Danbatta will join regulatory authority leaders are expected to speak on the steps they are taking with cross-sector cooperation to meet the challenges of the digital world.

At the event, focused panel discussions with sector experts will tackle the IIC’s key themes:• Privacy, safety and security• Content: innovation, regulation and markets• Competition policy• Infrastructure and spectrum: 5G and next generation networks• Investment in a time of increased focus on sustainability and the implications of climate changeNCC Chief, Danbatta, others to attend International Regulators’ Forum, Annual Conference.
