A total of 98 senior officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service have been elevated to the new ranks following the successful performance and promotion exercise conducted for senior officers in December 2021.
Among the officers promoted is the current Passport Control Officer, Ikoyi Passport Office, Mrs Bewaji Abolupe Oladoyin, who was also promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Immigration. They were all promoted for dedication and commitment to the service of Nigerian Immigration.
Their statement of their elevation is contained in a letter from the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board vide CDCFIB-NIS/2021/PE/640/VOL_1 signed by the Assistant Comptroller of Immigration Service Public Relations Officer, Ames OKPU.
According to the statement, four Assistant Comptroller- Generals have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General, 24 Comptroller got elevated to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration while 70 Deputy Comptroller were promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Immigration.
Those promoted to the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration include Josephine Chesara Kwazu; Modupe Oshoke Anyalechi, Muhammad Aminu Muhammad and Ajoke Oluremi Talabi.
“While the officers promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration include: Nandap Kemi Nanna, the current Comptroller at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos: (i). Ahmed Bauchi Aliyu fai, the Principal Staff Officer to the acting Comptroller General, Abdullah Usman Musa the Comptroller in charge of Migration at the Service Headquarters.
The acting Comptroller General Isa Jere Idris while congratulating the officers wishes to use this opportunity to express his appreciation to the government for considering them worthy for promotion. He enjoins the newly promoted officers to continue to demonstrate high levels of commitment and efficiency in service delivery to justify their promotion.
Other elevated officers were the current Comptroller of Ogun State Command, Amao Kolawole Michael, the Comptroller in charge of Gender & Staff Welfare, Alawode Nuratu Betty, and the current Comptroller of Ekiti State Command Acholoau Alphonsus, among others.
