The founder of a private hospital in Yola, Adamawa State capital, has been abducted by gunmen who stormed the medical facility.
Dr Saidu Bala who is the immediate past Medical Director of Specialist Hospital, Yola, was abducted after gunmen invaded the hospital around 6pm and shot sporadically.
Adamawa State Police spokesman, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje confirmed the incident and also revealed that policemen were deployed to track down the attackers and rescue the victim.
Nguroje said;
“Our men found three used bullet canisters at the scene of the crime and we have immediately deployed men of anti kidnapping squad to rescue the abducted medical practitioner.”
